Apni Party announces 4 SC, OBC Office Bearers for Jammu Rural

 

 

 

JAMMU, Dec 20 (KNS): Apni Party today appointed four members of Other Backward Class (OBC) and Schedule Caste (SC) Office Bearers of District Jammu Rural.

In a statement issued to news agency-kashmir news service (KNS) reads, In a meeting held here, State Coordinator of OBC Madan Chalotra and State Coordinator of SC Bodh Raj Bhagat announced appointment of four Office Bearers of District Jammu Rural in-presence of Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir, General Secretary Vijay Bakaya, Provincial President Manjit Singh, Provincial President Women Wing, Namrta Sharma and others at Gandhi Nagar of the Party in Jammu.

Sat Paul Verma has been appointed as OBC District President (Rural) and Kuldeep Raj as Vice-President OBC District Jammu (Rural). Sunil Kumar Bhagat has been appointed as District President Schedule Caste (SC) Jammu Rural and Ajay Rana as District General Secretary of Schedule Caste Jammu Rural.

Speaking on the occasion, Senior Vice-President and Former Minister Ghulam Hassan Mir congratulated the new office bearers of Jammu Rural and hoped that they will contribute towards their respective communities for their upliftment.

“Apni Party stands for the upliftment of OBC and SC communities in J&K and supports every effort for their welfare. Both the communities have faced negligence by the previous Govts and they need representation in real sense so that their decades old problems can be resolved,” Mir said.

He said that “The entire nation OBC has 27 % reservation and the same should be implemented in J&K. By providing them opportunities in education and reservation in jobs, the oppressed class will be able to provide education to their children and it will open employment opportunities for them.”

Welcoming their appointment, the Former MLC and Apni Party General Secretary Vijay Bakaya said that complimented the OBC State Coordinator Shri Chalotra and State Coordinator SC Shri Bodh Raj Bhagat for taking the initiative to strengthen the base of the Apni Party OBC and SC Cells by making District wise office bearers who will be responsible for spreading the message of the party that the Apni Party is different from other parties as it believes in development of all sections of society and upliftment and empowerment of the down-trodden sincerely and without empty rhetoric

The SC community and localities require special attention from the Government for developmental activities. The community will be provided all possible help from the party,” said Bakaya.

Former Minister and Provincial President, Manjit Singh, while speaking on the occasion, said the OBC community has settled mostly in border areas across the region and they require special attention of the government.

By neglecting their genuine demand for enhancing reservation quota in J&K, Manjit Singh said that the border shelling and hostility has disturbed their lives.

“The development as well as employment opportunity is their constitutional rights and they should be provided to them,” said Manjit Singh.

On this occasion, Apni Party, Provincial President, Women Wing, Namrta Sharma said that the women of both the communities have suffered more. “The inequality towards the two community and social bias-ness has affected women psychologically. Time has come when women leaders from these communities should come out and join active politics for the welfare of their communities,” said Namrta.

She said that the people from within the community can do justice with the OBC and SC classes so that they can be uplifted economically. She also impressed upon to encourage education among the OBC and SC children.
