Srinagar, Feb 04 (KNS): Another avalanche hit Afarwat peak at famous ski resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday, however, no damage was reported in the incident.

This is the second avalanche that hit near Afarwat peak in the last 4 days. On February 01, two Polish skier died and 19 others including two local guides were rescued after an avalanche hit near the Afarwat peak.

Meanwhile, Baramulla police said the avalanche occurred in Afarwat today morning, however, there were no reports of any loss.

Police said the area has already been notified as Red Zone and also advised tourists not to venture out in the area. 

“An avalanche has occurred in Affarwat Gulmarg today morning. Sofar no reports of any loss. 

Area has already been notified as Red Zone and is restricted for any movement. Tourists are once again advised not to venture and cooperate with Police,” police tweeted. (KNS)
