ANC's agenda for peace in J&K is 'Good Governence without Bloodshed': Muzaffar Shah

Srinagar, Sep 11 (KNS): Senior Vice President Jammu and Kashmir Awami National Conference Muzaffar Shah said that ANC's agenda for peace in J&K is “Good Governence without Bloodshed”.

Addressing media at Kupwara, Shah said that  “Peacefull conclusion of the vexed Kashmir problem between India & Pakistan” for which “Consultation with the People of all regions as Principal Stakeholders “ is of a paramount importance.

Shah who was accompanied by Addl General Secretary Mir Amanullah Kant, Provincial President Kashmir Rahi Riyaz, Dist President Kupwara Mohd Shafi  Khan dwelt at length on the current political scenario of J&K particularly on the matter concerning Article 370 & 35A for which CPM, the PAGD Constituent has moved the Supreme Court for its urgent hearing.

There is no other way to set things right in J&K without restoration of 370/35A as envisaged in the Constitution of India. The ruling BJP dispensation realises the consequences of their disastrous decision of 5th August 2019. The division of the state of J&K  into Union Territories was unacceptable to the people irrespective of region or religion, said ANC Sr VP in the the media meet.

While answering questions on Elections, Mr Shah categorically stated that return of Statehood would be a key factor & the decision of PAGD will be of paramount importance as it was viewed as the strongest united voice of the people of J&K fighting for restoration of the Constitutional Rights snatched illegally & unconstitutionally.

" We will not let BJP or its proxies come anywhere near to even think of government formation in J&K. A befitting reply awaits them from the people of J&K for having pushed them into intolerable sufferings politically, socially & economically", said Mr Muzzafar Shah.

The ANC district Kupwara office bearers then held a meeting with the ANC central leadership at their party district headquarters after which ANC Sr Vice President and all office bearers visited the residences of its senior leader Mohd Subhan Dar at Awoora & Mohd Sanaullah at  Gulgam to offer condolences with the bereaved families.(KNS)
