ANC Leaders Greet People on Shab-e-Qadr, Pray for Peace in J-K

 Srinagar, Mar 27 (KNS) : Jammu and Kashmir Awami National Conference (ANC) President Begum Khalida Shah and Senior Vice President Muzaffar Shah on Thursday extended greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and the Muslim Ummah on the revered occasion of Shab-e-Qadr.

 
In a joint message, the leaders described Shab-e-Qadr, or the Night of Power, as possessing immense spiritual significance as it marks the revelation of the Holy Qur’an and symbolizes divine mercy, forgiveness, and guidance for humanity. They said the night serves as a reminder of the timeless values of justice, compassion, patience, and steadfastness.
 
While the faithful devote themselves to prayers and reflection, the leaders emphasized that it is also a moment to collectively pray for peace, dignity, and justice for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Observing that Jammu and Kashmir has endured immense challenges over the years, Begum Khalida and Muzaffar Shah expressed hope that this blessed night becomes a source of renewed strength for the people of the region. They urged the faithful to pray for an end to suffering, the restoration of democratic rights, and the establishment of lasting peace based on justice and mutual respect.
 
"Shab-e-Qadr is a night of profound spiritual awakening. On this sacred occasion, we pray that Almighty Allah grants peace, stability, and dignity to our people, guides us towards unity, and blesses Jammu and Kashmir with a future where the aspirations and rights of its people are respected," the leaders said in their message.
 
They also appealed to the people to remember the poor, the distressed, and those facing hardship in their prayers and charity during the blessed nights of Ramadan. (KNS)
