Srinagar, Dec 25 (KNS): The inspector general of police Kashmir zone, Vijay Kumar on Saturday said that the militant involved in the killing of ASI Mohammad Ashraf in Bijbehara was trapped in the ongoing encounter in Srigufwara area of Anantnag.

IGP told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the trapped militants has identified as Faheem Bhat and he has got recently active with ISJK.

He said that he was involved in the killing of ASI Mohammad Ashraf who was posted at police station Bijbehara.

Earlier, today evening an encounter broke out in K Kalan locality of Srigufwara between militants and security forces.

Notably, this is the second encounter in a day in South Kashmir, as earlier four militants were killed twin encounters in Chowgam and Tral villages of Shopian and Pulwama district respectively. (KNS)
