Srinagar, Jan 08 (KNS): At least 9 flights have been cancelled from the Srinagar International Airport on Saturday following heavy snowfall in the Kashmir region and low visibility at the runway of the airport. 

Srinagar Airport on its official Twitter handle announced that at least 9 flights have been cancelled so far, while departure of several flights have been revised subject to improvement in weather conditions. 

It said that SpiceJet 8374 To Delhi, SpiceJet 8475 To Delhi, Indigo 5079 To Delhi, Indigo 2015 To Delhi, Indigo 2364 To Delhi, Indigo 6738 To Jammu, Indigo 137 To Delhi, Indigo 5441 To Delhi and Vistara 611/612 Srinagar to Jammu have been cancelled so far. 

It also said that several flights have been revised due and they will operate subject to improvement in weather conditions. 

Earlier, it said that the continued snowfall has reduced the visibility at our airport. The snowfall is likely to continue till afternoon and all operations shall be delayed. (KNS)
