Amarnath Yatra: First batch of pilgrims reach Quazigund; gets warm welcome from locals, dist admin

 Kulgam June 29 (KNS) : With just one day left for the Amarnath Yatra, the first batch of pilgrims reached Quazigund on Wednesday morning.

 
They were welcomed by locals, PRI Members as well as officers of the District Administration, Police 
 
The Yatra began earlier today from Jammu amid tight security arrangements made by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) along with the army and the local police.
 
On this occasion, DIG south kashmir Mohd Jabar (IPS) ,District Development Council Chairman  kulgam Mohd Afzal as well as Deputy Commissioner Kulgam  Dr Bilal Mohi-ud-Din bhat  (IAS), SSP kulgam Dr GV Sandeep chakraborty (IPS), ACD Kulgam mohd imran Khan along with locals welcomed the Pilgrims and flagged off towards Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.
DIG kulgam, said that proper security arrangements have been made for the pilgrims.(KNS)
