Srinagar, July 09 (KNS): At least 14 have been confirmed dead in a cloudburst that hit lower Amarnath cave shrine on Friday evening, officials said here on Saturday.
An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that 14 people have been confirmed dead while 9 were injured have been evacuated at holy cave shrine.
He said that nearly 500 patients have been treated for minor injuries during night.
The official added that air sorties were on, while further rescue operation is going on.
On Friday, a cloudburst hit lower cave of Amarnath holy shrine, in which 14 people were killed and many others were injured. (KNS)
