Rajouri, Sep 30 (KNS): Apni Party President, Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari today paid rich tributes to Ch. Mohammed Hussain on his 19th death anniversary.

In his statement, Altaf Bukhari remembered Hussain sahab as one of the most respected politicians of Rajouri district and termed him as the leader of masses who earned respect for his work.

He said that “He represented his constituency for 5 times as MLA and as a Minister. He had played a vital role in the establishment of District Rajouri in 1968.”

He further said that it was Hussain sahab’s efforts that a new township at Kotranka was established.

Meanwhile, a function to remember Ch. Mohammed Hussain was organised here at his native town in Rajouri’s Tralla village which was attended by thousands of people.

The people from different walks of life, different political parties, his friends, admirers and followers attended and prayed to Almighty Allah for eternal peace to the departed leader.

The people recalled his selfless service to the society which he rendered throughout his life for the development of the area, upliftment of the weaker sections of the society, the down trodden and backwardness.

They highlighted his honesty, dedication, fearless voice of oppressed, secular stature and a visionary statesman. Besides prominent citizens Former legislator Surinder Choudhary, Qamar Hussain, District President Syed Manzoor Hussain Shah, Munshi Alam Din, Molvi Gh Mohi ud Din, Fazal Chouan, Shabir Chowdhary, Wazir Singh, Balwant Singh, Khajoor Singh, Surjeet Singh, Sobha Ram, Arif Rather and other members of PRI also participated.

Meanwhile, Former Education Minister and Apni Party Vice President, Chowdhary Zulfikar Ali expressed his sincere thanks to the participants and also paid his homage to his father on his 19th Death anniversary. (KNS)
