Altaf Bukhari Appeals Lt. Governor for re-hiring of 550 teachers under RMSA

Srinagar, March 02:(KNS) Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Wednesday appealed to Lt. Governor Shri Manoj Sinha for re-hiring of Subject Specific PG teachers under Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) in Jammu and Kashmir.


A deputation of RMSA teachers called on Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari and apprised him about the injustice melted out to Subject Specific teachers, who were first engaged and then government discontinued their services.
 
"About 550 teachers in total 320 in Jammu Division and 230 in Kashmir division were employed in the 110 upgraded high schools under RMSA vide government order number 597 Edu. of 2014, dated 23-08-2014, as per MHRD guidelines for teacher recruitment across India. However, the said teachers were discontinued as per Government order no, 222 of 2019, dated 09-07-2014," the deputations informed.
 
In this regard Hon’ble High Court of Jammu and Kashmir has already directed the UT of J&K Government for implementing the said order but unfortunately their file is still pending in the office of commissioner Secretary, School Education Department.
 
Bukhari told the delegation that he has already taken up this issue with the Chief Secretary of UT of J&K and has assured them that he will take-up the matter with the UT Govt. particularly the LG Mr. Manoj Sinha for redressal of this grievance and resolution of demand. (KNS)
