JAMMU, FEBRUARY 21: (KNS) Apni Party State General Secretary, Vijay Bakaya today urged the Govt to allow the Kashmiri Pandit employees and teachers engaged under PM package who are on vacation in Jammu to celebrate Shivratri with their families.
In a statement to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Bakaya said that the Govt should consider the demands of the PM package employee teachers who have come to Jammu to celebrate Shivratri with their families and be considerate enough not to order them to return on February 22 to make arrangements for opening schools on February 28th.
He reminded the administration that “Shivratri is the most important festival of Kashmiri Pandits which they celebrate with their families.”
He also appealed to the administration to exempt them from the duty for which they have been recalled out of respect for the sentiments of the displaced Kashmiri Pandit community.
He hoped that the Govt will be considerate in this matter.(KNS)
