Srinagar, July 20 (KNS) : The All Jammu & Kashmir Shia Association (AJKSA) organised a solemn day-long Marsiya Khawani at Imam Bargah Sebdan in Budgam as part of the ongoing Muharram commemorations. The programme was led by AJKSA President Molvi Imran Reza Ansari, who addressed the gathering with an emotional Majlis-e-Aza, highlighting the unmatched sacrifice of Imam Hussain (AS) and the relevance of mourning in keeping the message of Karbala alive.
Following the Majlis, a symbolic Alam-e-Sharief procession was taken out with deep religious fervour and disciplined participation.
In his address, Molvi Imran Ansari emphasised the spiritual significance of shedding tears for Imam Hussain (AS). Citing traditions from Hadith and sayings of the Ahlul Bayt (AS), he said:
“One who cries or even makes others cry for Imam Hussain (AS) earns a place in Jannah. According to Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS), ‘If one weeps for Imam Hussain (AS), even as much as the wing of a fly, his sins will be forgiven, even if they are as many as the foam of the sea.’”
He also spoke passionately on the vital role of Nowha Khwans and Marsiya reciters in preserving and spreading the spirit of Azadari.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“Those who inspire others to grieve for Imam Hussain (AS) share in the reward. The reciters keep the mission of Karbala alive in every heart. They are not just performers, but torchbearers of the resistance shown by the Ahlul Bayt,” he said.
Molvi Imran also shed light on the trials faced by Bibi Zainab (SA) and Imam Zainul Abideen (AS) after the tragedy of Ashura — particularly their painful journey through the courts and streets of Shaam (Syria).
“The resilience and courage shown by Bibi Zainab (SA) in the aftermath of Karbala turned the pain into a message, and the captivity into a revolution,” he added.
Simultaneously, Marsiya Khawani programmes under the banner of AJKSA were held at Reshipora, Kanchatipora, Balhama, and Doonipora Zadibal, witnessing participation from local Azadars and scholars. The Majlis E Aza at Balhama and Reshipora was attended by AJKSA General Secretary Abid Hussain Ansari.
