Emphasizes the need to give impetus to entrepreneurship development initiatives in order to better engage the youth of the UT

 Pampore October 12 (KNS): Ajaz Ahmad Bhat (IAS) on Wednesday took over the charge of Director, Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI). The staff of the Institute welcomed the new Director and assured full cooperation in carrying out the Institute's mission.

Having varied knowledge and experience will allow the Institute to produce result-oriented initiatives in entrepreneurship development, innovation, incubation, and will spur the startup ecosystem in the Union Territory. It is pertinent to mention that he had earlier worked at various important positions in the Government of UT of J&K. Employees of the Institute expressed hope that the new Director would prioritize youth aspirations and help the Institute reach new heights.

Speaking on the occasion, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat thanked the staff for the warm welcome and promised to dedicate himself to youth and to develop a robust startup ecosystem, skill development, self-employment initiatives and youth engagement models in mission mode as is envisioned by Government of Jammu and Kashmir under the leadership of  Lt. Governor, Manoj Sinha.

Further, he said the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute has a crucial role to play in developing youth-oriented initiatives throughout the Union Territory. He assured the youth that all issues would be prioritized and redressed and that he would do his best to ensure the youth received the benefits of various government schemes and initiatives.(KNS)
