Srinagar, May 30 (KNS): After outcry over transfer of an employee, the authorities in government medical college and its associated hospitals retained the employee to his previous place of posting.

Authorities at Government Medical College Srinagar in an order had stated that Shabir Ahmad Sheikh, Electrician presently working in Govt. Children Hospital Srinagar and borne on the establishment of Psychiatric Disease Hospital Srinagar is detached back to Psychiatric Disease Hospital for further duties with immediate effect.

It added that the official shall deem himself to have been relieved from the present stations with immediate effect. 

However, after outcry the authorities issued a corrigendum to its previous order and retained the employee at his previous place of posting.

“Kindly refer to the order wherein one Shabir Ahmad Sheikh, Electrician has been detached

back to Govt Psychiatric Disease Hospital Srinagar. In this context, it is requested that the official under detachment has been overseeing the electrical areas of the hospital since the

construction phase of the hospital and is well aware about the fittings/layout of the respective area, as such relieving of the official at this stage may severely affect the respective area, given that the hospital is in its early stage.”

It added that it is as such requested that the official may kindly be allowed to be retained at this hospital, solely in the interest of administration and patient care. (KNS)
