Advisor Bhatnagar, DHSK visit Pahalgam hospital, review its functioning

Srinagar, Aug 30 (KNS): Advisor to Hon'ble Lt. Governor of J&K,  Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar along with Director Health Services Kashmir, Mushtaq Ahmed Rather on Monday visited NTPHC Pahalgam to review its functioning.

A spokesperson of Director Health Services Kashmir said Shri Bhatnagar during his visit was briefed about the proposed new hospital building at Pahalgam.

He was briefed by the concerned executive engineer about the details about the new building which would be having 50 beds.

 Bhatnagar visited Pahalgam hospital which is a base camp hospital for Amarnath Yatra. He visited all the sections of the hospital along the director health services Kashmir.

The advisor instructed the executive agencies to speed up the construction and start the demolition of the old hospital building immediately.

He further instructed them that the work on the new building should be completed in one year keeping in view the overall importance of Pahalgam.

 Bhatnagar along with the director took a round of the hospital and inspected it’s all sections. He also took detailed review of status of Covid vaccination, sampling and other facilities being provided in the hospital.

The advisor also interacted with the locals who demanded upgradation of health care facilities in and around Pahalgam which the advisor assure them that all the possible help will be given to people and health care facilities will be made up to the mark.

He appealed people to follow Covid SOPs and go for the vaccination so that we can play our part in the mitigation of Covid.(KNS)
