Srinagar, Feb 01 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir police on Tuesday evening said it have picked up some suspects in connection with acid attack on a 24-year-old girl in Safa Kadal area of Srinagar in the evening. 

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Senior Superintendent of Police Srinagar, Rakesh Balwal said that they have picked up some suspects in connection with the acid attack case.

He said that the suspects have been picked up for questioning and they were working on the leads. 

Earlier, a 24-year-old girl was injured after being attacked by some unknown persons with acid outside her business unit at Wantpora area of Srinagar.

She had sustained severe burn injuries in the attack and was taken to SMHS hospital, where she is undergoing treatment. (KNS)
