ACD Kupwara tours Mawer, reviews developmental works

Handwara, Jan 13 (KNS): Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Kupwara on Wednesday visited Mawer Block of Handwara and reviewed all the developmental schemes executed by the Department of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, viz MGNREGA, CD and Pyts, B2v3, ADF, and BADP.

ACD Syed Mehraj was briefed about the progress of every developmental scheme under operation in the Block.

In MGNREGA, the block has generated 84717 PD’s against the target of 110000, achieved 99% Adhaar seeding, and completed geotagging of 1659 assets.

In CD & PYTS, the block has completed 20 out of 23 works with a total expenditure of 10 lakhs until December 31st, 2021, while in B2V3, the block has completed 135 out of 142 works. In ADF, the block has undertaken 23 projects totaling 45 lacs in expenditure as of December 31st, 2021.

Later, he visited the far-off Panchayat Halqas of the Block, viz., Monbal and Banday, and interacted with the public gathering in Panchayat Gar Monbal.

The people welcomed the officer for his visit to the village to inspect the ongoing work and to hear about the hardships of the people in this harsh winter. The residents put their demands before the officer. Later, ACD Sir visited the roads constructed under ADF viz. Londa Road, Kalshan Sarmawali Road, Tanchi Mohalla Road, and the footbridge on Shilthra Nallah.

The officer assured the people that every genuine demand would be taken care of on a priority and directed the staff to work for the welfare of the people.

While concluding his tour, the officer also visited the marriage hall under construction at Haril and the health centers at Shanoo and Pringroo and directed the BDO to handover the health buildings to the concerned department to carry out their functions for the welfare of the people. (KNS)
