Locals allege doctor attends duty on alternate days; Director health Kashmir assures action

Pattan,06 June (KNS): Trauma Hospital in Pattan area of North Kashmir's Baramulla district witnessed chaos and a surge in patient as the unauthorised absence of senior consultant Dr. Arshid causes damage to health care services.
 
As per Kashmir News Service (KNS) Serving as an important trauma centre on the National Highway, the hospital faces hardships due to his irregular attendance of various doctors posted in the hospital.
 
According to insider sources speaking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Dr. Arshid and his fellow doctor have been following a pattern of attending duty on alternate days, resulting per doctor's presence in the hospital for only three days a week.
 
Despite being scheduled for duty today, Dr. Arshid was allegedly found absent, leading to frustration among local patients who were seen waiting in long queues.
 
Concerned locals told KNS that the self-styled roster is being followed by doctors. They also raised questions on the lack of biometric attendance inspection by officials.
 
Meanwhile, when KNS Contacted the District Health Services Kashmir he assured that they would investigate the issue and strict action will be taken accordingly.
 
He said that, he has already directed CMO Baramulla to find probe into the matter. (KNS)
