Srinagar, May 16 (KNS): Awami Action Committee (AAC) on Tuesday paid tributes to Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq on his death anniversary and Hawal martyrs of May 21, 1990.

 

The AAC in a statement said that he fearlessly guided the people at the religious, social and political levels till he embraced martyrdom on May 21, 1990, and on that day scripted a great history.

 

It urged imams of the mosques to arrange special prayers for him and all other martyrs in their five daily prayers.

 

The AAC also said that to remember and pay tributes to Moulvu Farooq and all other martyrs, the recitation of the Quran will be organised on Friday at the historic Central Jama Masjid Srinagar by Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid. (KNS)
