Srinagar, June 11 (KNS) : Jammu and Kashmir Awami Action Committee (AAC) has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of Alhaaj Siraj-ud-Din Qalandar, Sajjadah Nisheen of Dargah Hazrat Syed Shah Sadiq Qalandar Naqshbandi (RA) and father of Syed Shakeel Qalandar, a renowned businessman and the leading member of Kashmir Civil Society.
The AAC on behalf of the organisation and its leadership, especially the incarcerated Chairman Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, termed the demise of Syed Siraj-ud-Din Qalandar as a big loss and paid rich tributes to his religious, milli and social services.
The organisation expressed condolence with the deceased’s sons – Mr. Syed Shakeel Qalandar, Mr. Syed Imtiaz Qalandar, Mr. Syed Sajjad Qalandar, and son-in-law Mr Hakeem Shafaq Masoodi. It also prayed for Jannat-ul-Firdous to the departed soul and forbearance to the bereaved family members to bear the irreparable loss.
A large number of locals along with many key officials and workers of the Awami Action Committee attended the funeral prayers of Syed Siraj-ud-Din Qalandar.(KNS)
