AAC condoles demise of its youth leader Sofi Mushtaq Sahib's brother


Srinagar, May 07 (KNS): Awami Action Committee (AAC) has expressed grief over the demise of Sofi Bashir Ahmad, the elder brother of the organisation's youth wing leader Sofi Mushtaq Ahmad.

In a statement, the AAC on behalf of the organisation and its incarcerated Chairman Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq who continues to be under house arrest for the last nearly four years paid tribute to the deceased for his contribution to society, and termed the demise of Sofi Bashir Ahmad as a big loss for the Shahr-e-Khaas.

The AAC expressed condolence and solidarity with the Sofi family, especially with Sofi Mushtaq Ahmad and Sofi Manzoor Ahmad, and prayed for Jannat-ul-Firdous to the departed soul, besides patience to the bereaved family members to bear the irreparable loss.

According to family sources, the congregational Fateha Khawani of the deceased will be performed on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at 10:30 am at their ancestral graveyard at Wantapura, Srinagar.(KNS)
