AAC condoles demise of Haji Jan Muhammad Koul, pays tributes

Srinagar, Feb 4 (KNS) : Jammu & Kashmir Awami Action Committee (AAC) has expressed deep grief over the demise of Kashmir's leading business leader and former Chairman of the United Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation Haji Jan Muhammad Koul.


The AAC on behalf of the organisation and its incarcerated Chairman Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq paid tributes to Haji Jan Muhammad Koul for his sincere and remarkable contribution to Kashmiri society and traders' fraternity.

Late Koul Sahib was a gentleman possessing strong moral character. He had feelings of great devotion and love towards the Mirwaiz Family.

The statement said that the late Jan Sahib was also actively involved in the milli and social affairs and in this connection, he often had meetings with Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir and used to present his opinions regarding various issues.

The AAC expressed condolences and solidarity with the bereaved family members, especially Koul Sahib's son Muhammad Umar Jan, saying that the organisation stands with them at this moment of grief. It prayed for Jannat-ul-Firdous to the departed soul and patience to the bereaved family members and relatives.(KNS)
