CM Omar Abdullah calls Srinagar grenade attack on civilians “Deeply disturbing”

 Srinagar, Nov 03(KNS): At least six people were injured in a busy Sunday market in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district after suspected terrorists threw a grenade.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir VK Birdi confirmed the incident, stating that the six civilians sustained minor injuries and have been taken to the hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, additional forces have been deployed to the area to gather details and initiate a search operation.

In a tweet, Omar Abdullah described the assault as "deeply disturbing," adding, “There can be no justification for targeting innocent civilians.”

He urged the security apparatus to take decisive measures to prevent such incidents, highlighting that civilians should be able to go about their daily lives without fear.

Security forces have since intensified their presence in the area, and investigations are underway to identify those responsible. (KNS)
