JKSWO expresses surprise and is disappointed over decision of CUK to conduct offline mode exams


Srinagar, 13 August (KNS): In an extra ordinary meeting of executive body of J&K Students Welfare Organisation held via virtual video conference chaired by Majid Rashid Wani ,President of the organisation ,the participants expressed surprise and anguish over decision of CUK to conduct offline exams. In the wake of Covid -19 Pandemic ,University Of Kashmir has decided to conduct online exams. While PIL in the Supreme Court seeking cancellation of all exams,the Delhi University cancelled all UG and PG exams for the current. session, the decision of CUK to conduct offline exams in campus poses a severe risk of Coronavirus Infection to all the students and thus the students feel depressed, disappointed and worried over the step motherly attitude of CUK .JKSWO requests the hon'ble VC and Controller of Exams of CUK to review their decision of offline xxams and issue orders of online exams. keeping in view the present situation and issue exam dateline only after getting approval from Department of Health and Education Mininistry.The students lives are more precious than exams and we are sure CUK will not undertake any such decision that will be cause of death of innocent students.(KNS)
