Srinagar, Sept 24 (KNS): Unknown gunmen on Thursday evening shot dead Advocate Babar Qadri in Hawal area of Srinagar district.
A senior Police officer confirmed KNS that unknown gunmen fired upon Babar Qadri from point blank range in Hawal area of Srinagar killing him instantly on the spot.
He said though he was rushed to SKIMS however he succumbed on way. He also said that the body was taken for medico-legal formalities.
Medical Superintendent SKIMS Soura Dr Farooq Jan told KNS that we had received bulled wounded body of Advocate Babar Qadri who was brought dead to hospital.
Besides a prominent advocate, Qadri was a well known TV debater and social activist.
Meanwhile soon after the attack, the area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers. (KNS)
