Srinagar, Oct 29 (KNS): The government of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday ordered naming of at least 76 infrastructure assets after eminent personalities and martyrs in the Union Territory.

As per an order, a copy of which lies with Kashmir News Service (KNS), government ordered naming of 76 infrastructure assets including schools, colleges, roads and other government institutions after eminent personalities and martyrs.

The order stated that  the concerned Administrative Secretaries shall take immediate necessary steps including amending their records for effecting the changes.

Divisional Commissioners of Kashmir and Jammu have been directed to personally monitor the naming of infrastructure assets in their respective divisions.

The order also stated that the concerned Deputy Commissioners shall ensure that suitable events are held in connection with the naming of these infrastructure assets. (KNS)
