Anantnag August 13:(KNS) Likewise in other districts of UT full dress rehearsal of 74TH Independence Day celebrations (2020) was held at GDC Boys Anantnag today . Additional Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Mr. Gh. Hassan sheikh unfurled the national flag and took salute at the parade. The contingents of CRPF, J&K Police, IRP, F&ES, took part in the march-past. Addressing the participants and public gathering, ADC Anantnag said that the nation is paying great tribute to the freedom fighters and martyrs, who sacrificed their lives to free us from the British rule.
He further added that after independence, the nation has achieved the highest goals of success in every field of development. The nationalists who have scarified lives to uphold the secular face of the nation were also remembered.

On this occasion, cultural programmes were held, and the cultural Troops sang patriotic songs.(KNS)
