Participants relish Kashmiri Veg food

Kutch Bhuj Jan 24 (KNS): The 5 days winter festival organised by Living Learning and Design Centre (LLDC) and Shrujan Trust concluded at Bhuj Kutch in Gujarat on Monday. The programme was attended by a large number of participants which included the pastoral groups, artisans , sufi singers , musicians and food enthusiasts from around 16 Indian states.

During the festival almost 10 food stalls from different states had been set up which included a stall from Kashmir that was set up by Centre for Conservation of Culture and Heritage (CCCH)  and some Kashmiri activists working for promotion of forest and Kashmiri ethnic veg food. The group was led by Social activist Dr Raja Muzaffar Bhat

As per the details available the participants during the festival relished Kashmiri vegetarian food which included Kashmiri Kahwa , Gogge Haakh , Nadru Palak, Dum Aaloo, Razma Dal, Rumah Dal & Pran fried rice plus Makki ka Halwa.

An exhibition held under the theme Living Lightly was also held during the event which was focussed around pastoralists and their lifestyle. Several Kashmiri youth from Chopan and Gujjar Bakerwal community also participated in the youth conclave which was sponsored by Sahjeevan an NGO working for the pastoralist community for the last 20 years. The pastoral youth conclave was  attended by Union Minister for Animal Husbandry and Fisheries  Parshotam Rupala.(KNS)
