4G internet restoration: Azad speaks to Ravi Shankar Prasad


Srinagar, August 13 (KNS): Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad Thursday spoke to Union Minister for Telecommunications Ravi Shankar Prasad about the restoration of high-speed internet servics across J&K and was assured by the union minister to address the issue within due course of time.

According to KNS, leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad spoke telephonically to Union Minister for Telecommunication Ravi Shankar Prasad and apprised him from the difficulties facing by students, traders and other concerned. Azad threw light upon the adverse impact of the non-availablity of 4G internet facility in Jammu &Kashmir, which has multiplied the problems of students, business community and other establishments.

During telephonic conversation, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad assured the leader of opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad of considering of the restoration of 4G internet facilities in due course.

Notably the service was snapped on August 4, 2019 hours before New Delhi stripped constitutional status of J&K under Article 370 & 35(A). (KNS)
