35 security personnel, 40 civilians killed in J&K this year: MoS Home in Lok Sabha

Srinagar, Nov 30 (KNS): The minister of state for home affairs, government of India on Tuesday said that at least 35 security personnel including J&K police personnel and 40 civilians have been killed till November 15 this year.

As per reports reaching Kashmir News Service (KNS), MoS Home in a reply to question in the Lok Sabha today said that up to November this year 35 security personnel and 40 civilians have been killed in Jammu and Kashmir.

He also said that 80 security forces personnel, including J&K Police personnel have been killed in 2017, 91 in 2018, 80 in 2019 and 62 in 2020. 

The minister said that 40 civilians have been killed in J&K in 2017, 39 each in 2018 and 2019 and 37 in 2020.

Notably, the winter session of the Parliament began on November 29 and is likely to conclude on December 23. (KNS)
