33 more Test Positive for COVID-19 in J&K , tally rises to 158

Srinagar, April 8 (KNS): Thirty three persons were declared positive for Covid19 on Wednesday, raising the tally of COVID-19 patients in Jammu and Kashmir to 158.
A health official told KNS that 11 of them are from SKIMS Soura, 19 from Chest Disease hospital and three from Jammu.
“19 of them came out to be positive,” the doctor said.

Among these 19, the doctor said most of them are from Srinagar besides Pulwama and Kulgam districts.
Earlier five residents of Srinagar, 1 from Baramulla, 4 from Bandipora and 1 Kupwara.
The Bandipora have a history of contact with previous patients and are aged 16, 38, 30 and 36 years old respectively, official said.
Travel history of five patients from Srinagar aged 33, 35, 31, 41 and 46 years old is of Nigeria.
The 70 year old patient from Tangmarg was in contact with the previous COVID-19 patient, he added.
"The 16-year-old patient from Kupwara had returned from Nizamuddin New Delhi," he told KNS

With these fresh cases, the number of COVID-19 patients tally in J&K has gone up 158 and 152 are active cases—124 in Kashmir and 27 In Jammu.
Doctors said four patients in J&K- one in Kashmir and three in Jammu have been discharged.
Kashmir valley recorded death of three patients from the disease. (KNS)
