Start preparations for Local Bodies elections: Zuhaib

Srinagar, May 17(KNS): Thirty young political activists joined the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) at Khunmuh, in the Lal Chowk constituency of Srinagar today.

People's Democratic Party (PDP) Youth Wing Coordinator for Central Kashmir, Zuhaib Yousuf Mir, welcomed the new entrants who included ten females into the party folds. Zuhaib stressed upon the party workers of the youth wing to start preparations for the proposed Local Bodies elections.

A well attended function in this regard was organized today under Zuhaib Mir, at Khunmuh who apprised the young activists about the party policies.“We are working under the dynamic leadership of our respected president, Mehbooba Mufti, whose only agenda is the people’s agenda,” Zuhaib Mir said.

He added that PDP is the only political platform in Jammu and Kashmir which considers that the rights snatched from the J&K people can be achieved through a democratic political process. “It is the youngsters who can and surely will strengthen the hands of Mehbooba Ji so that the people’s agenda is achieved,” Zuhaib said.(KNS).
