Srinagar, Dec 28 (KNS): Three unidentified militants who were onboard a truck were killed in an encounter in Sidra area of Jammu district on Wednesday morning, officials said here.
An official said forces intercepted suspicious movement of a truck moving towards Jammu and they followed it.
“The truck was stopped near Sidra, however, truck driver escaped from the spot and on being searched, three militants were hiding in it who opened fire at the forces. The fire was retaliated to,” he said.
The official said during the encounter three unidentified militants were killed, while their affiliations were being ascertained.
“The militants were heavily armed and we are further investigating the matter, while search in the area is going on,” he said. (KNS)
