Handwara, Nov 8 (KNS): At least 26 persons were injured when a bus they were travelling in met with an accident in Watayin area of Handwara in North Kashmir's Kupwara district on Tuesday, officials said here.
The official told Kashmir News News Service (KNS), that the incident took place after the bus turned turtle near Watayin while it was on way to Srinagar.
In the incident, as per officials atleast 26 people sustained injures while the rescue operation is being undertaken by the police and locals, the injured have been shifted to handwara hospital for treatment where from one of injured lady was shifted to Srinagar hospital for futher treatment.
Meanwhile Medical Superintendent district hospital Handwara Dr Nisar Ahmed confirmed that 26 injured people were brought to hospital, one of them has been shifted to Srinagar hospital.(KNS)
