J&K Students Association writes to J&K LG Manoj Sinha for return of mortal remains

 

Srinagar April 23 (KNS): J&K Students Association here today has written to Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, seeking his help in bringing back the mortal remains of 25 years old Kashmiri youth from Saudia Arabia for last rites. In a statement, Spokesperson of Association Nasir khuehami said that, Imran Ahmad Sheikh who originally belonging to Baramulla district of Kashmir was working in Shahwarmer Company Taif; Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, originally working in hotel industry through Etmaad recruiting agency and holding valid Indian Passport number U7605144 from past two years.

On April 2022, he was found dead near to his workplace. The cause of death is not known yet and there are multiple conflicting versions. But as per his family, Saudia Police have taken his body for post mortem and is also ascertaining the exact cause of death, probing & checking the CCTV footage around his workplace. Imran was hailing from Nehalpora pattan area of Baramulla district in North Kashmir and his mortal remains are stuck in Saudi Arabia, he said.

Khuehami added that, the family needs assistance in getting the young mans' mortal remains back. He requested Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to take immediate steps and pursue this matter with Ministry of External Affairs to help in airlifting the mortal remains of deceased back to India from Saudia Arabia for the last rites at his ancestral village.(KNS)
