Sopore, 19 Feb (KNS): A 20-year-old youth was crushed to death by a running train in Baramulla district on Saturday, officials said here.

 An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS), that a train from Banihal to Baramulla hit youth near Hamre-Sopore section, killing him on the spot.

 Deceased was identified as Waseem Ahmed Sheikh son of Noor Mohammed Sheikh of Lalpora Baramulla.

 The official said that his body was taken to hospital and after completion of medico-legal formalities, body would be handed over to legal heirs for last rites.

 Meanwhile, police have registered a case in this regard and further investigation has been taken up. (KNS)
