Handwara, Feb 12 (KNS): Continuing its efforts against drug peddling, the Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested two peddlers and recovered narcotics in the Kralgund area of Handwara in northern Kashmir's Kupwara district.
The police in a statement said that a police party of Police Station Kralgund while on patrolling at Village Kasloo apprehended two persons, who had attempted to avoid the police party in a suspicious manner.
"On search, around 13 grams of Brown Sugar like substance was recovered from their possession," the police said, adding that the persons have been identified as Mashooq Ah Ganie S/o Mohd Yousuf, Mohd Aslam Sheikh S/o Gh Mohd Sheikh both residents of Sheikhpora Behrampora Sopore.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
"In relation to this, FIR No. 08/2023 U/S 8/21, 29 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Kralgund and investigation has been initiated," it added.(KNS)
