Modi added that over 200 laws of the Centre have been implemented in Jammu and Kashmir, which before the abrogation of article 370 were never implemented and by implementing those laws here people of J&K have been made stronger.

“Implementation of those laws has proved beneficial for the sisters, daughters, youth and elderly of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said, adding today Baba Ambedkar’s soul would be praying for them as his dream has been realised and central schemes are straight away being implemented in J&K.

He also said that the day will not be far when Kaniyakumari’s Devi will meet Vaishno Devi directly through one road and the government is working to keep J&K’s border villages connected with other parts of the country throughout the year.

Modi added that earlier, every district would get just 500 crore for development projects and now every district is getting Rs 22, 000 crore funds through Panchayats.

“In the last 7 decades there was investment of Rs 17, 000 crore in J&K, however, in just two years private investment is Jammu and Kashmir has been recorded Rs 38, 000 crore, as J&K has kept pace with development after abrogation of Article 370,” he said

“J&K has now become an example of Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas initiative. Tourism here is also flourishing and I have been informed that all the hotels have been pre-booked in J&K such is flow of tourists,” he said.

He also said that earlier, it would take 2-3 weeks to take a government file from New Delhi to J&K and now it takes just two weeks to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for development projects here.
