“More Terrorists in Pakistan Than Rest of World Combined”: Ghulam Nabi Azad in Bahrain

Bahrain May 26: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and Democratic Progressive Azad Party Chairman Ghulam Nabi Azad, part of an all-party Indian delegation visiting Bahrain, said the number of terrorists in Pakistan may exceed those in the rest of the world combined.

Speaking on the sidelines of the visit, Azad expressed happiness at witnessing peaceful coexistence among people of all faiths in Bahrain, calling it a “mini India.” He added that although Indian politicians may represent different parties, abroad they stand united as Indians.

According to KNS G N Azad said, “Pakistan was created on the basis of religion, yet its eastern and western wings couldn’t stay united. In India, people from all religions live together in peace and harmony,” 

Former Indian envoy Harsh Vardhan Shringla, also part of the delegation, highlighted India and Bahrain’s shared commitment to fighting terrorism.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe noted that both nations signed a counter-terrorism agreement in 2015 and launched a joint security dialogue in 2019.

“We have strong security cooperation with Bahrain, and both sides are committed to continuing regular exchanges between their agencies to combat terrorism,” Shringla said.

The delegation, led by BJP MP Baijayant Jay Panda, includes MPs from various parties including Nishikant Dubey, Phangnon Konyak, Rekha Sharma, AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi, Satnam Singh Sandhu, Ghulam Nabi Azad, and Ambassador Shringla.

Their mission is to engage with leaders in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Algeria, and to brief them on India’s response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack and its broader fight against cross-border terrorism. The initiative also aims to counter global misinformation and reinforce India’s zero-tolerance policy on terrorism.(KNS)
