Srinagar, May 22[KNS]: Scores of activists have joined the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kursoo Rajbagh area of Srinagar, taking the total number of the new party entrants to over 150 in the month of May only.
This was stated by the PDP Youth Wing Coordinator for Central Kashmir, Zuhaib Yousuf Mir, on Monday.
A simple but impressive function was held at Kursoo, Rajbagh of the Lal Chowk constituency, which was presided over by Zuhaib Mir.
During the function scores of activists joined the party’s youth wing and pledged to take forward the pro-people agenda of the respected party president Mehbooba Mufti sahiba.
Addressing the function Zuhaib expressed satisfaction over the fresh pro-PDP wave across Kashmir.
“This pro-PDP wave is the result of the sincere, dedicated and pro-people stance of Mehbooba Ji and the long and purely democratic policies of the party,” Zuhaib said.
Welcoming the new party entrants, Zuhaib said that youth, especially the educated ones have understood that it is only the PDP which has a clear political and democratic vision vis-à-vis Kashmir and its people.
He assured the party workers that their aspirations will be honestly represented and the days are not far when the people of Kashmir will enjoy their political and democratic rights.[KNS]
