"Great Trend”: PM Modi, Amit Shah praise people of Baramulla for high voter turnout

Srinagar, May 21 (KNS): Prime Minister Narendar Modi on Tuesday complimented the people of Baramulla for high voter turnout during the 5th phase of the Lok Sabha polls yesterday, terming it as a “great trend”

In a post on X, PM Modi, as per KNS complimented the people for “unbreakable commitment to democratic values”.

“Compliments to my sisters and brothers of Baramulla for their unbreakable commitment to democratic values. Such active participation is a great trend,” he said.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also praised the people for high voter turnout and said it is a befitting reply to those who ask what has changed after the abrogation of Article 370.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

“A momentous occasion for Kashmir! Today, Baramulla Lok Sabha constituency registered an approximately 20% higher voter turnout compared to the last Loksabha elections. Now it goes without saying that the Modi government's endeavours to ensure peace and development in Kashmir have strengthened people's trust in democracy,” he said.

Baramulla constituency went to polls on Monday during the 5th phase of the Lok Sabha polls, registering a historic voter turnout of over 57 percent. (KNS)
