Quyoom Wani greets people on Eid-ul-Adha

Srinagar July 09 (KNS) : Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum Chairman, Abdul Qayoom Wani on the occasion of Eid Ul Azha extended greetings to people of Jammu and Kashmir and entire Muslim World.

 
In a statement, Chairman Forum Abdul Qayoom Wani said this revered festival teaches virtues of devotion, faith and sacrifice and inspires feelings of brotherhood, compassion and unity.
 
Wani said while sacrificing animals on the eve of Eid Ul Azha people should remember all those families whose caretakers were lodged in different jails and those people who suffer due to poverty, disease and the other calamities.
 
Wani appealed people not to forget widows, orphans and also the elderly people who face loneliness in this so called fast life. He appealed people to help them to their level best on this Eid.
 
    Reiterating its demand Forum Chairman urged upon the government to release all political and apolitical detainees and youths lodged in and outside jails, ahead of Eid as it has become a human issue keeping in view their families mental trauma.
 
Forum has appealed the traders bodies as to not only maintain the price control in markets as per rate list but to give special discounts on the occasion of Eid so that a poor man too can afford necessary purchases for the festival. Also transporters bodies have been appealed to keep special transport available in cities and towns on the Eid day to reach to different destinations for Eid Nimaz. Forum has appealed the religious scholars to advise people not to throw the skin of the sacrificial animal in open but to teach them about its proper disposal. (KNS)
