Dal Cries and we Turn Deaf! Why?
It is not government only which needs to be waken up but general public also has a moral responsibility for saving Dal, comments Mansoor Ali

Kashmir is often called as ‘Paradise on Earth’ due to its natural beauty. There are number of tourist destinations in Kashmir valley which attracts the tourist flow, to the extent that they do not want to go back from Kashmir. One of the major attractions is the famous Dal Lake situated in the heart of Kashmir called as Srinagar. This famous lake is one of the largest lakes in the world.
Dal Lake was more beautiful a few years ago. It looks more beautiful especially when lotus flowers and leaves with droplets of water on them, which gives an appearance of pearls glittering in the lake. In the middle of the lake there is a tiny island called as Char Chinar (which means four chinars) but unfortunately there are only three left now.
But now this beautiful lake is on the verge of extinction. The death is certain if adequate efforts for its conservation are not being taken.
