“DHARAM KA KHEL”

It is true and factual that Indian media is going awry saving for the programs and analysis it offers to audiences. Recent on air, it was really disgusting to watch a News Item on Star News “Dharam Ka Khel” on 23rd October, in which they tried to co-relate the recent doping charges on the Pakistani players (Shoaib and Asif) with religious obligations. I could not understand it. It was a nonsensical approach to NEWS putting forgetting all the ethics of journalism (Media). The news was meant to give an impression that the Pakistanis, just to improve upon their ugly image were trying to be more religious both on and off the field. Unbelievable for us to accept the extent to which Indian Media can go in trying to defame a team. Forgetting their own infamous cricketing heroes, Ganguly, Jadeja and like, who did not dope but brought cricket to bad reputation.

And there are news items on these channels which seem to be much more ridiculous, and the standard is ever degrading. I suppose this ‘Masala Mix’ works as an appetizer for them. But stupidity and absurdity has a limit. How can a National news channel be so irrational? You can not make fun of religious sentiments of people just to gain popularity. It was really painful to watch that news item for it was nothing but sheer exploitation of Muslim sentiments. The worst part of the story is that we always feel handicapped for all this is being done under the stinking cover of Secularism and Democracy. They have an evil conscience and unfortunately disease of which is beyond the practice of any Physicians.

While New Delhi’s population tried to escape from a 40ºC heat by slipping into air-conditioned shopping centers some 400 miles to the southeast, we gazed upon a cold drizzle through the open third floor window of a building without energy in the middle of Srinagar,

Human Dignity vs. Identity-A tale of a valley in distress!

Kashmir, a disputed area on the map of the world, is being constantly ruined by the most dragged term here ‘Dialogue’. Once called as the ‘Paradise on Earth’- the vale has more to render in terms of innocent killings, human rights violations and violence. There was a time when Angels would fly over the sky but now demons have taken over.
