Wreath laying ceremony of 3 slain CRPF men held at Humhama


Srinagar, Apr 19 (KNS): The wreath laying ceremony of three CRPF men who were killed yesterday in Sopore militant attack was held in Humhama, Budgam on Sunday.
According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), the ceremony was held at Special Training Camp (STC) in Humhama area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district. Besides Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Pandurang Pole, several top brass of Police and CRPF were present at the occasion.
Notably on April 18, three paramilitary troopers were killed and two were severely injured after militants attacked CRPF personnel at a time when they were withdrawing from a checkpoint duty at the Ahad Baba crossing area of Sopore in Baramulla district.
In the incident, three CRPF troopers were killed and identified as Constable Rajeev Sharma from Bihar, Constable C B Bhakare from Maharashtra and Constable Parma Satyapal Singh from Gujarat while two more personnel were also injured. They belonged to the CRPF’s 179 Battalion. (KNS)
