Handwara 17 january (KNS): A black bear took refuge in a local school in North Kashmir's Mawer Haril Langate on Sunday afternoon, creating an atmosphere of fear and panic among the people of Haral village.

The bear was reportedly spotted in the village of Haril Langate, and when locals chased after it, the bear took refuge at the local government middle school. Locals allege wild animals have spread panic in the settlements and yet no wildlife official has arrived.

Locals said that although we tried to inform the Wildlife Department officials by calling them several times, no official of the department reached there.

When the KNS Correspondent called the Wildlife Department and asked the reason,he said there is a lot of snow so it is very difficult to get the net there and which will make it very difficult for them to catch bear(KNS).
