Wanted OGW of JeM outfit deported from Qatar arrested at IGI airport New Delhi by J&K Police 

Srinagar, Feb 05 (KNS): Police on Friday said that a top over ground worker of banned militant organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) was arrested by a team of Kulgam police from Indira Gandhi International Airport New Delhi after he was deported from Qarar

In a statement, an official spokesperson told KNS that Muneeb Ahmad Sofi son of Bilal Ahmad Sofi, a resident of Kanelwan area of Bijbehara was rrested by a team of Kulgam Police from IGI Airport New Delhi this morning after his deportation from Qatar.

He said that the role of the OGW surfaced in FIR no 58/2020 U/S 13, 18, 19, 38, 39 ULA(P) Act.? ???????

“An accused arrested in the said case disclosed that he along with other OGWs were collecting money for JeM from various districts in Kashmir and were handing over the collected amount to Muneeb Ahmad Sofi who was in Qatar and was in contact with active militant of JeM Waleed Bhai, a resident of Pakitan for purchase of arms and ammunition from Pakistan,” he said. 

He said that a look out notice was published against Muneeb and a non-baiilable warrant u/s 25 Police Act  was obtained from the concerned court.

“Consequent to deportation of the accused from Qatar to India, he was apprehended at IGI Airport and is being brought to Kulgam for further questioning and investigation,” the spokesperson said. (KNS)
