Handwara, June 26:(KNS)The UPS Mawer Bla of zone Mawer who earlier started community classes to over the academic loss observed today international day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking. The day is being observed to create awareness among people about the bad effects the drug have on our health and economy. On every 26 June the day is being observe against drug abuse to create awareness among masses. During the event the staff members and students made play cards and other drawings to create awareness against drug abuse. The UPS Bla earlier started community teaching and taking kids to a nearby play ground to offer classes. The classes are being taken in proper physical distance and SOP is being followed.
Khurshid Ah Sheikh is a math teacher at UPS Bla Mawer said to KNS that the day is being observed to create awareness among people and students against drug abuse. These kids are our future its important to guide them in a right direction, he said.
The locals appreciated the event and the initiative of community teaching they have started earlier in the area.(KNS)
