Restore religious channels on cable network Bhat urges to authorities

 

Srinagar, Dec 30:(KNS) BJP's Kashmir unit Wednesday said that district administration has failed to upgrade the basic infrastructure at iconic Tagore Hall in Srinagar and

Party's Kashmir Media Incharge and leader Manzoor Bhat in a statement said that Tagore Hall has been left in shambles and needs immediate attention of concerned authorities.

He said although income of Tagore Hall is enough to meet its standards but nothing has been upgraded since the past several years.

"Recently our party had a function in the hall and there was not any heating arrangement, while the projector is also defunct from the past three years," he said.

Bhat in a statement to KNS, said it is unfortunate that such things are people witnessing in 21st century while everything is now digitally transformed.

"These things are basic and need to done without even complaining about them.It is because of such infrastructure people are staying away from organising cultural programmes," he said.

As per Bhat said Tagore Hall is the only place in Srinagar where cultural events, student competitions, poetic symposiums and other things are taking place but adminisatration has completely sidelined it's importance.

He appealed Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha led adminisatration to address the problems in Hall, so that Valley's cultural heritage would be preserved from further degradation.

Bhat said they have received dozens of complaints regarding the suspension of religious channels on the cable network.

He urged Deputy Commissioner Srinagar and other concerned authorities to restore the Makkah TV Live, Madani Channel, Aastha Tv as they are promoting peace and harmony cross the world.

"Atleast these three channels should be restore on the immediate basis, as people are paying fee for their broadcast. It is vital demand of people here," he said

Bhat urged Divisional commissioner Kashmir and district adminisatration for immediate restoration of these channels in Srinagar.(KNS)
