Two persons involved in murder of ATM guard in Jammu arrested: Police 

Srinagar, Jan 21 (KNS): Jammu police today arrested two persons for murdering the ATM guard of J&K Bank in Nanak Nagar area of the city.


According to the police handout sent to KNS, "it was reliably learnt at Police stationbGandhi Nagar Jammu that at about 8 PM at sector 13 Nanak Nagar Jammu some unknown person/persons have murdered a person Raju Sharma (36) son of  Golu Ram Sharma, resident of House No. 507, New Plot, Prem Nagar, Jammu who was deployed as ATM guard of J&K Bank at sector 13, Nanak Nagar, Jammu.The dead body is lying inside the room of ATM of J&K Bank". "The deceased has been murdered with sharp edge weapons (Kirch) by some unknown person/persons. On this information case FIR No. 16/2021 U/S 302 IPC, 4/25 A Act has been registered at PS Gandhi Nagar and investigation started." it reads.


During the course of investigation SHO PS Gandhi Nagar accompanied by 1/0 of the case collected CCTV footage, analysed the same and thereafter conducted raids at all the possible hide outs of the culprits whose visual were seen under the close supervision of SDPO City South/SP South Jammu and over all supervision of SSP Jammu and succeeded in apprehending two accused persons identified as Mohd  Kaif Lone son of  Sartaz Ahmed Lone Resident of Ashtengoo, Bandipora &  Viikas Bashir Lone son of  Bashir Ahmed Lone resident of Ashtengoo Alcosa, Bandipora. 


"The accused arrested persons have confessed their involvement in the instant case, the motive behind the commission of crime was theft. As per the CCTV footage above named culprit while trying to break the ATM Machine. the deceased being a Guard of ATM restricted them for doing so, but they overpowered/attacked him with fist and blow, causing his death on the spot. After the commission of crime, accused fled away from the spot who were arrested by the Police after hectic efforts." It said (KNS).
